1 socket for external power supply (9 V - 15 V DC). The multiclock can be the main clock generator or synced to external MIDI, DIN sync and Analogue clocks. Non-EU customers will need to purchase a 9-12V DC power supply (any polarity) or type f->type a adapter to use with the existing PSU separately. Synchronization of the multiclock to a DAW relies on a sample accurate audio clock, which allows for rock solid sync signals. Each channel can be set to either emit MIDI, DIN sync or analogue clock. The multiclock USB built by E-RM Erfindungsbro Rest & Maier is a one-stop shop for synchronising all kinds of musical gear with great precision to a master DAW. Analogue clock signals are configurable in polarity and start/reset behavior and individual clock dividers are available. It converts all kinds of clock signals from one to another and is able to derive highly accurate sync with a plugin provided from the soundcard of a DAW or even generate a masterclock. To compensate for any time lag of your connected gear, you can shift each of the four output channels individually and in realtime back and forth relative to the reference clock. If you then have found the sweet spot, you can add a bit of shuffle. To become the central connection hub of your setup, a powerful MIDI Router is available. It allows you to route and merge other MIDI data from four USB MIDI ports and the onboard MIDI In with the accurate clock signals. The Multiclock can be synchronized with incoming MIDI clock, DIN Sync, or analog clock signals from a modular synthesizer system. Incoming audio signals are first converted into clock signals then routed to the Multiclock’s four outputs. Timing information is sent to the unit from an audio track of the DAW, a process aided by an included plugin. There’s also per-channel Hot-Plug&Play support for MIDI, modular clock, analog LFO, and DIN.Īdditionally, any unused channel can be utilized as a MIDI controller. The Multiclock consists of four independent channels, each with real-time shift and swing parameters. The unit converts many kinds of clock signals into others, drives a Sync plugin via DAW, and perhaps best of all, it is capable of acting as a master clock source for hardware rigs, with no computer required! The E-RM Multiclock is a multifarious sync solution and interface designed as a one-stop shop for the synchronization of compatible audio devices. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION COPIED FROM RETAILER WEBSITE: Unit also DID NOT come with a USB cable for computer connection, but I will put one in there for you, since I'm a nice guy.ĪGAIN - You will need to buy a converter or use a different AC adapter that you already have lying around, since this specific unit comes with the EUROPEAN plug!! I used an AC Adapter from another synth that I have (Arturia Minibrute) in order to turn it on, but it will NOT come with that adapter, as I still use & need that one for my Arturia synth. You are buying exactly what I got: the Multiclock unit with the firmware that was on it when it arrived at my doorstep (v1.06 - not the most updated version of v1.08), original box and original AC Adapter, which is a two-pronged ***EUROPEAN*** adapter (therefore a different 9v adapter or a "Euro plug to USA plug" converter will be necessary). Sat in my closet for over five years untouched! The most I have ever done with this thing is take it out of the box to verify that it turns on, and it does. E-RM Multiclock, purchased brand new from Perfect Circuit in 2017 and NEVER USED, EVER.
